DOSE-RESPONSE RELATIONSHIPS BETWEEN CIGARETTE SMOKING AND BREAST CANCER RISK: A SYSTEMATIC REVIEW AND META-ANALYSIS

Cigarette smokers are liable to develop breast cancer.

This meta-analysis looked at the results of previously published studies centered around the relationship between cigarette smoking and the onset of breast cancer. Researchers compiled lifestyle and health data extracted from a pool of 169 studies.

Data analysis identified a trend towards increased incidence of breast cancer among current and former smokers. This study documented that cigarette smoking may be a cause of breast cancer in women.
