Association between ultra-processed food consumption and risk of breast cancer: a systematic review and dose-response meta-analysis of observational studies

Eating lots of ultra-processed foods regularly may put a woman at risk of developing breast cancer.

This study assessed a woman's risk of developing breast cancer based on her ultra-processed food consumption habits. Researchers sifted through data and evidence obtained from 6 scientific publications.

Researchers noted that women who enjoyed consuming generous portions of ultra-processed foods had high chances of having breast cancer. The data from this study suggest that adopting a diet filled with ultra-processed foods may increase a woman's susceptibility to breast cancer.
