Vegans report less stress and anxiety than omnivores.

Strict adherence to a plant-based diet may help to reduce stress and anxiety levels and improve the mood of men and women.

​This research work studied the effect of dietary choices on anxiety and stress levels. Researchers compared dietary patterns with the mood states of 620 men and women. 

Researchers discovered that vegans experienced less stress, anxiety, and mood disturbance than consumers of omnivorous diets. The results of this study suggest that cutting down on the intake of animal foods may help to improve mood and reduce stress and anxiety levels.
