A review on studies of smoking and coronary heart disease in China and Hong Kong.

​This meta-analysis examined the impact of smoking on the incidence of coronary heart disease (CHD) in Chinese populations. Researchers compiled data from 42 eligible studies.

Researchers discovered that cigarette smoking promoted the development of coronary heart disease, especially in men. "The existing evidence supports that smoking is a cause of CHD in Chinese, particularly in men. The authors concluded.
