Increased stroke risk is related to a binge-drinking habit.

Binge drinking may increase an individual's susceptibility to stroke.

​This study assessed how binge drinking influences the likelihood of suffering from stroke. Researchers evaluated the alcohol drinking habits and incidence rates of stroke in a study population comprising of over 15,000 Finnish men and women aged 25-64 years. 

Researchers found a significant elevation in the risk of stroke among subjects who were binge drinkers. This study suggests that binge drinkers may be highly vulnerable to a stroke attack.
