Vegetable, Fruit Consumption and Risk of Biliary Cancer: Evidence from a Meta-Analysis

Adequate consumption of vegetables and fruits may help halt the onset of biliary cancer.

This meta-analysis focused on the association between high intake of vegetables and fruits (VF) and the probability of acquiring biliary cancer. Researchers compiled data and evidence drawn out from 14 studies. 

Researchers noted that the odds of having biliary cancer decreased with increasing ingestion of fruits and vegetables. "This meta-analysis indicated that VF consumption may significantly reduce risk of biliary cancer."
