Citrus fruit intake and lung cancer risk: A meta-analysis of observational studies

Consistent consumption of citrus fruits may help guard against the onset of lung cancer.

This study was undertaken to clarify the relationship between citrus fruit intake and the likelihood of developing lung cancer. Researchers sifted through data obtained from 21 published studies.

Researchers found out that lovers of citrus fruits enjoyed a 9% reduction in lung cancer risk. The findings of this study suggest that individuals who want to reduce their chances of having lung cancer should adopt the habit of consuming citrus fruits regularly.
