Consumption of ultra-processed foods and risk for Alzheimer's disease: a systematic review

The odds of suffering from Alzheimer's disease may be stacked against generous consumers of ultra-processed foods.

This study investigated the hypothesis that likeness for ultra-processed foods can increase an individual's chances of developing Alzheimer's disease. Researchers conducted a meticulous meta-analysis on information extracted from 5 studies involving more than 600,000 adult and elderly men and women. 

Researchers discovered that ultra-processed food lovers had high tendency to be diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease. This study documented a positive association between the consumption of ultra-processed foods and elevated risk of Alzheimer's disease.
