This study assessed whether alcohol consumers have high risk of exhibiting suicidal behaviors. Researchers sifted through data drawn out from relevant studies.
The team of investigators discovered that both the use and abuse of alcohol induced suicidal behaviors. "Effective interventions for problem drinking may reduce suicidal rates," the researchers noted.
