Marijuana Use in Patients With Cardiovascular Disease: JACC Review Topic of the Week

The use of marijuana might be a risk factor for cardiovascular disease.

This study compared the incidence of cardiovascular disease among users and non-users of marijuana. Researchers studied the findings of eligible studies on the topic. 

Researchers found a high rate of cardiovascular disease among users of marijuana. This study documented a harmful association between the intake of marijuana and cardiovascular disease risk.
