Association between short sleep duration and intake of sugar and sugar-sweetened beverages: A systematic review and meta-analysis of observational studies

Generous ingestion of sugar-sweetened beverages may shorten the duration of sleep in both children and adults.

This study looked at how devout consumption of sugary beverages affects sleep duration. Researchers compiled data and evidence culled from 34 published studies. 

Researchers noted that higher intake of sugar-sweetened beverages correlated with shorter duration of sleep in both children and adults. This study demonstrated that likeness for sugared beverages may reduce the sleeping time in both children and adults.
