Impact of Dietary Fiber on Inflammation and Insulin Resistance in Older Patients: A Narrative Review

Researchers discovered that increased consumption of fiber-rich foods decreased the rate of occurrence of inflammation and insulin resistance in elderly men and women. This study provides evidence that eating foods high in fiber may help reduce inflammation and improve insulin resistance in older adults.
