Alcohol as a risk factor for plaque-type psoriasis

The likelihood of suffering from plaque-type psoriasis may be high among alcohol consumers.

This study compared the odds of developing psoriasis between consumers and non-consumers of alcohol. Researchers assessed relevant data obtained from eligible studies. 

Researchers observed that frequent drinking of alcohol heightened the risk of developing plaque-type psoriasis, especially in men. The findings of this study revealed that alcohol intake may increase an individual's tendency of suffering from plaque-type of psoriasis.
