This study examined the ultra-processed food-obesity association in adults. Researchers utilized data obtained from 16 scientific studies.

Researchers discovered that greater consumption of ultra-processed foods promoted the development of obesity in adults. This study suggested that men and women who enjoy eating ultra-processed foods may end up piling up excess pounds and becoming obese.
