I was always overweight since I can remember. My nickname as a small child was “tank”. I have yo-yo dieted for years and thought I had no hope and I was who I am, fat, old looking and in constant pain. I became vegan in January of 2018 due to gout episodes. The side benefit was immediate weight loss and energy! I went from 290 at 5’8” to 185 in a matter of 8 months! My own mother did not recognize me and when finally realized it was me, she thought I was sick. Everyone who saw my transformation asked the same questions. My response? “ I am not sick, I have never felt better!”
