Frequent consumption of vegetarian diets may protect individuals against cancer.

This study evaluated the effect of vegetarian diets on cancer risk. Researchers analyzed data obtained from several published literatures on the subject. They observed that subjects on vegetarian diets had slim chances of developing cancer compared to those who are frequent consumers of meat. The findings of this study reveal that regular consumption of vegetarian diets may contribute positively to the prevention of cancer development.
