Association between whole grain intake and breast cancer risk: a systematic review and meta-analysis of observational studies

​High dietary ingestion of whole grains may help to cut down a woman's risk of developing breast cancer.

This study examined the correlation between whole grain intake and breast cancer risk by means of a meta-analysis. A total of 11 studies were included in this meta-analysis. 

Data analysis revealed that increase in the frequency of consumption of whole grains lessened the risk of breast cancer. The findings of this study show that diets high in whole grains may be beneficial in the prevention of breast cancer.
