Risk of colorectal cancer in relation to frequency and total amount of red meat consumption. Systematic review and meta-analysis

Daily consumers of red meat may be highly prone to suffer from colorectal cancer.

​This study investigated if there is a link between consistent consumption of red meat and the development of colorectal cancer. Researchers compiled data drawn out from 22 studies. 

Researchers noticed that the odds of being diagnosed with colorectal cancer were stacked against daily consumers of red meat. This study strengthens the body of evidence supporting the carcinogenic effect of red meat on the colon and rectum.
