Meta-analysis of the association between secondhand smoke exposure and stroke.

Frequent exposure to passive smoke may increase an individual's chances of developing stroke.

​The objective of this study was to determine the relationship between regular exposure to second-hand smoke and the odds of developing stroke by meta-analysis. Researchers examined data extracted from 20 eligible studies. The team of investigators found out that passive smoking elevated the risk of developing stroke. The results of this study indicate individuals who are regularly exposed to second-hand smoke may have a high tendency of suffering from stroke.
