Should Men Eat More Plants? A Systematic Review of the Literature on the Effect of Plant-Forward Diets on Men's Health

Adopting a plant-based diet may help thwart the development of erectile dysfunction, prostate cancer, and benign prostate hyperplasia (BPH).

​This study evaluated a man's likelihood of developing prostate cancer, benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), and erectile dysfunction (ED) based on the level of consumption of plant foods. Researchers reviewed relevant data extracted from 24 scientific publications.

Researchers discovered that high compliance with plant-based diets brightened a man's odds of preventing prostate cancer, erectile dysfunction, and benign prostate hyperplasia. According to this study, men who want to improve their chances of fending off erectile dysfunction, prostate cancer, and benigh prostate hyperplasia should stick to a plant-based diet.
