Consistent consumption of foods high in vitamin C may reduce the likelihood of developing prostate cancer.

This study explored the relationship between high dietary ingestion of vitamin C and the odds of developing prostate cancer. Researchers systematically reviewed data from 18 studies that examined the intake of vitamin C-containing foods as a protective factor against prostate cancer.

The team of investigators found out that a decline in prostate cancer risk was associated with increased consumption of foods high in vitamin C. The results of this study indicate that regular intake of foods loaded with vitamin C may provide men with a significant protection against prostate cancer.
