Meat consumption and cancer of unknown primary (CUP) risk: results from The Netherlands cohort study on diet and cancer

Meat eaters may have a high probability of developing cancer.

​This research work studied the role meaty diets play in the development and spread of cancer. Researchers tracked the dietary and medical records of more than 5,000 Dutch men and women recruited from the Netherland Cohort Study on Diet and Cancer. 

The team of investigators identified a harmful relationship between meat intake and cancer occurrence. This study points out that high dietary intake of meat may favor the development and spread of cancer.
