Consumption of berries, fruits and vegetables and mortality among 10,000 Norwegian men followed for four decades

High dietary ingestion of fruits, vegetables, and berries may save men from dying prematurely from cancer, stroke, and other causes.

Can the choice of eating generous portions of fruits, vegetables, and berries add more years to a man's lifespan? Researchers reviewed 40 years of worth of dietary and health data extracted from 10,000 in order to provide answer to the above question.

Researchers noted that the more fruits, vegetables, and berries a man ate, the lesser his chances of suffering from premature deaths due to cancer, stroke, and other chronic diseases. This study affirmed the notion that adopting the habit of generously consuming fruits, vegetables, and berries may significantly diminished cancer, stroke, and all-cause mortality risk in men.
