High-Fat Diet as a Risk Factor for Breast Cancer: A Meta-Analysis

Preference for fatty foods may bump up breast cancer risk in women.

​This meta-analysis evaluated the results of previously published studies that focused on the correlation between high dietary intake of fatty foods and a woman's chances of being diagnosed with breast cancer. A total of 8 studies was included in this meta-analysis. 

Data analysis revealed that women who enjoyed consuming fatty foods experienced a significant jump in their risk of breast cancer. This study demonstrated that the rate of occurrence of breast cancer may be high among women on diets rich in fatty foods.
