Cannabis use may hasten the onset of myocardial infarction (heart attack).

​This study evaluated the correlation between cannabis usage and the occurrence of myocardial infarction (heart attack). Researchers performed an in-depth analysis on data obtained from relevant studies. 

Researchers found out the odds of experiencing a heart attack increased by 5-fold one hour after the use of cannabis. This study suggests that cannabis usage should be recognized as a risk factor for myocardial infarction.
