Exploring the relation of alcohol consumption to risk of breast cancer.

Frequent intake of alcohol may stimulate the development of cancerous cells and tumors in the breast.

This study investigated the alcohol-breast cancer connection using a meta-analytic approach. Data from eligible studies were analyzed for this meta-analysis.

Researchers observed that women who drank alcohol were at greater risk of having breast cancer than their colleagues who completely avoided taking alcoholic beverages. Evidence from this study show that alcohol consumption may be a contributing factor to the development of breast cancer.
