Adopting a sedentary lifestyle may raise an individual's chances of acquiring several types of cancer, including ovarian, endometrial, breast, prostate, and colorectal cancer.

This study analyzed the sedentary behavior-cancer occurrence connection hypothesis. Researchers reviewed health and lifestyle information culled from 77 published studies. 

Researchers observed that participants living a sedentary lifestyle demonstrated a significant jump in their risk of developing breast, prostate, colorectal, ovarian, and endometrial cancer. The findings of this study indicate that being physically inactive may give rise to different forms of cancer, including cancer of the breast, prostate, colon, rectum, ovary, and endometrium.
