Generous consumption of ultra-processed foods may elevate cardiovascular and total mortality risk in men and women.

This study clarified the link between the intake of ultra-processed foods and mortality risk. Researchers tracked the diets and death rates among over 250,000 adults from the United Kingdom and the United States. 

Researchers spotted a pattern of increased death toll from cardiovascular disease and other causes of mortality among passionate consumers of ultra-processed foods. The data from this study showed that a high ultra-processed food diet may raise an individual's chances of suffering from deaths arising from cardiovascular disease and other causes.
