Dietary flavonoid intake and weight maintenance: three prospective cohorts of 124,086 US men and women followed for up to 24 years

Creating room for flavonoid-rich foods in our plates may help to keep excess pounds at bay.

This study examined if there is a connection between consuming flavonoid from food sources and the maintenance of a healthy body weight. Researchers followed 124,086 US men and women for 24 years, monitoring their diets and body weight. 

Researchers noticed that individuals who ate high amounts of flavonoid-containing foods had healthy body weight. This study demonstrated that individuals who want to keep their weight within a healthy range should add more flavonoid-ladened foods to their diet.
