Healthy dietary patterns, foods, and risk of glioma: A systematic review and meta-analysis of observational studies

Regular ingestion of fruits and vegetables may help curtail the development of glioma.

This meta-analysis was carried out to confirm the protective effect of healthy diets against glioma. Researchers utilized nutritional and health data obtained from more than 2 million men and women who took part in 24 studies.

Researchers found out that consistent consumption of vegetables and fruits diminished the likelihood of developing glioma. The researchers concluded that "findings from this systematic review and meta-analysis indicate that higher intakes of healthy dietary patterns, vegetables, and fruits are significantly associated with the lower risk of glioma."
