Dietary Fiber Intake and Risk of Pancreatic Cancer: Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis of Observational Studies

Adequate intake of fiber-ladened foods may protect an individual against pancreatic cancer.

This meta-analysis seeks to confirm the preventive effect of high fiber diet against pancreatic cancer. Dietary and medical records of hundreds of men and women who took part in 18 studies were utilized for this meta-analytical study.

Researchers discovered that individuals who consumed the greatest amounts of fiber-containing foods had the lowest risk of acquiring pancreatic cancer. This study pointed out that generous ingestion of dietary fiber may help guard against the development of pancreatic cancer.
