Allium Vegetables Intake and Risk of Breast Cancer: A Meta-Analysis

Eating a diet rich in allium vegetables may help shield a woman from breast cancer.

This research work utilized a meta-analytic approach to study the role frequent ingestion of allium vegetables play in the prevention of breast cancer. Researchers compiled data and evidence from a total of 17 studies. 

Researchers noted that increased consumption of allium vegetables correlated with reduced risk of breast cancer. This study concluded that "high intake of allium vegetables may be protective against the development of breast cancer."
