Ardent consumption of refined grains can lead to a spike in glioma risk.

This study assessed the correlation between fondness for refined grains and the subsequent development of glioma—a type of brain tumor. Researchers tracked the diets of 128 patients diagnosed with glioma and 256 healthy men and women.

Researchers discovered that lovers of refined grains, including pasta, cookies, and sweets, had high risk of developing glioma. Evidence from this study affirm the notion that adhering to a diet loaded with refined grains may increase an individual's predisposition to glioma.
