Alcohol drinking may elevate prostate cancer mortality risk.

​This research work studied the effect of alcohol intake on mortality risk in patients with prostate cancer. Researchers monitored the alcohol consumption rates and mortality records in a study population comprising of 829 Canadian men with prostate cancer.

Researchers found a 2-fold increase in the odds of dying from prostate cancer among alcohol consumers. The findings of this study reveal that prostate cancer patients who are alcohol drinkers may have a high tendency to die from the disease.
