Individuals who enjoy consuming soybeans may have a low tendency of developing stomach (gastric) cancer.

Are consumers of soybeans less prone to having gastric (stomach) cancer? This study set out to provide answer to this question. A total of 767 out of the 139,267 participants were diagnosed with gastric cancer during the course of the study.

Researchers noticed that frequent ingestion of soybean products slashed stomach cancer risk significantly. "Our results suggest that a high consumption of soybean products has a protective effect against gastric cancer," the researchers concluded.
