This research work studied the gastric (stomach) cancer-preventive properties of phytochemicals present in plant foods. Researchers reviewed data and evidence drawn out from eligible studies. 

Data analysis revealed the beneficial effects of plant phytochemicals in curbing the formation, growth, and spread of cancerous cells in the stomach. This study supports the hypothesis that high compliance with a plant-based diet may play a role in the prevention and treatment of gastric cancer.
