Eating a diet rich in healthy plant foods may help ward off pancreatic cancer.

This study evaluated the correlation between adherence to a healthy plant-based diet and the probability of developing pancreatic cancer. Researchers studied the eating habits and medical records of 101,748 US men and women for a duration of 8.86 years. During the course of the study, a total of 421 cases of pancreatic cancer were recorded.

Researchers noticed that high compliance with a healthful plant-based diet significantly slashed pancreatic cancer risk in men and women. This study suggested that individuals who want to improve their chances of avoiding pancreatic cancer should join the healthy plant-based diet train.
