This meta-analysis evaluated how the intake of allium vegetables affects an individual's chances of developing cancer outside the digestive tract. Researchers sifted through nutritional and health data obtained from 25 studies. 

Researchers discovered that regular consumers of allium vegetables tend to have low risk of acquiring non-digestive tract cancer. The findings of this study show that allium vegetables are a great addition to a cancer-preventive diet.
