Milk consumption is a risk factor for prostate cancer in Western countries: evidence from cohort studies.
Generous intake of milk and other dairy products may increase the incidence of prostate cancer among men in Western countries.
The objective of this study was to assess the relationship between the consumption of milk and other dairy products and the odds of developing prostate cancer in Western countries. A total of 18 scientific articles and 13 independent studies were included in this meta-analysis. Researchers observed that subjects with the greatest milk and dairy product consumption rates had the highest prostate cancer risk. The results of this study suggest that high intake of milk and other dairy products may increase the incidence of prostate cancer among men in Western countries.
