Physical inactivity and sedentary behaviors may lead to the development colorectal cancer.

Does sedentary lifestyle affect an individual's chances of having colorectal cancer? This study set out to provide answer to the above question. Researchers collated data and evidence obtained from 21 studies. 

Data analysis revealed that sedentary living promoted the development of colon and rectal cancer. This study recommends that adopting a physically active lifestyle should be an integral part of lifestyle measures aimed at preventing colorectal cancer.
