A friend of mine shared a video with me on intermittent fasting and the ketogenic diet. Fasting from an early supper to breakfast time, I can understand and support. But the keto diet looks dangerous to me. I'm looking for an article or video that I might share with her. Can you recommend any or has Dr. Carney addressed this?

Hello Sue,

Dr. Carney has an article that might be helpful to you. It is titled "Are You "Dying to Lose Weight?"

There is also another article about how low-carbohydrates impair brain function titled "Can Low-Carb Diets Impair Brain Function?" which you might find helpful.

Let me know what you think of these articles.

I just did a Google search to try to pull up results from nutritionfacts.org about the ketogenic diet and came up with many articles and videos that I think you might enjoy:

Thanks Sean! I found the one on brain function. The impact of this kind of dieting looked scary indeed! I put it up on my cooking club Facebook page. It amazes me the diets that emerge that are so dangerous to the body! I will take a look at the others. Thank you for your help!
