Dairy Products Produce Excessive Estrogen

The propaganda machinery of the food industry works overtime to convince us that we need milk to stay healthy, but the science actually reveals that milk is not a health food. According to Dr Michael Klaper, cow’s milk is baby calf growth fluid. Thus, it is loaded with fats, lactose (milk sugar), proteins (casein and whey proteins: beta-lactoglobulin and alpha-lactalbumin), and over 60 hormones, including estrogen, that promote the rapid growth of a calf. Unlike humans, cattle need to gain weight rapidly. In fact, cow's milk doubles the weight of a baby calf in 50-60 days. Estrogen is one of the major growth-promoting hormones found in milk and other dairy products.

Dairy Products Provide a Major External Source of Estrogen in Humans

Dairy products such as milk, cheese, butter, and yogurt are considered to be an essential component of human diets especially in Western cultures and recently in Asia. According to the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations, more than 6 billion people worldwide consume milk and related dairy products.

Cow’s milk is extracted from the mammary gland of a lactating cow. Female cattle undergo hormonal cycles similar to that of adult human females; they also naturally produce estrogen during their reproductive cycle. Plasma levels of estrogen increase in cows during pregnancy, rising from 15 pg/ml in non-pregnant cows to 151 pg/ml in the first half of pregnancy and 1000 pg/ml in the last days of pregnancy. Keeping these cows almost constantly pregnant ensures that milk products contain an extremely high level of estrogens.

Most of the estrogens circulating in a cow's blood eventually find their way to the cow’s breast milk. Unfortunately, millions of baby calves worldwide will be deprived of the milk from their mother’s mammary glands, so that human children as well as adults can consume this nutrient-dense growth fluid containing high amounts of estrogens meant for the speedy growth of those baby calves. The findings of many studies have shown that dairy foods, such as milk, yogurt, cheese, and ice cream are responsible for 60-70 per cent of estrogen found in humans that are coming from food sources.

Are Dairy Products Healthy Foods?

Despite all the efforts put in by the food industry trying to convince us that dairy products are perfect for our health, we know that dairy foods are not healthy foods. Estrogens, which are abundant in dairy foods, have been identified as a major culprit in the etiology of many forms of cancer, including prostate, breast, testicular, and colon cancers. Unfortunately, the dairy industry won’t inforum you about the cancer-promoting effect of their products in their beautiful advertisements
