Diets that favor the intake of fruits and vegetables may help shield an individual from acquiring gastric (stomach) cancer.

This study focused on the link between the frequency of consumption of fruits and vegetables and the likelihood of developing gastric (stomach) cancer. Researchers compiled data and evidence drawn out from over 1.5 million men and women who participated in 18 studies. 

Researchers noticed that participants who ate the highest amounts of fruits and vegetables had the lowest chances of having stomach cancer. This study concluded that eating lots of fruits and vegetables regularly may confer an individual with significant protection against gastric cancer.
