Someone I know was saying this ingredient in non-dairy milk can be made from oils. What can you tell me about it?

Vitamin A Palmitate is the form of vitamin A naturally found in animal sources and it is also produced synthetically, unfortunately it appears to be produced from oils, in particular palm oils. Plant sources of vitamin A are carotenoids.
