Regular consumers of fast foods, such as hamburgers, may be at risk of suffering from allergic diseases, such as asthma, eczema, rhino-conjunctivitis, and allergic rhinitis.

This study investigated the correlation between pre-illness intake of fast foods and the development of allergic diseases, such as asthma, using a meta-analytic approach. Researchers pooled data drawn out from 16 studies.

Researchers discovered that high consumers of fast foods, such as hamburgers, had elevated risk of coming down with allergic diseases, including asthma, eczema, rhino-conjunctivitis, and allergic rhinitis. The results of this meta-analysis reveal that fondness for fast foods may give rise to different types of allergic diseases.
