​This study examined the effect plant-based diets have on the symptoms of rheumatoid arthritis. Researchers reviewed data and evidence extracted from eligible studies. 

Data analysis revealed that strict adherence to plant-based diets improved symptoms of rheumatoid arthritis, including joint pain. Evidence from this study indicate that eating a plant-centered diet may play a positive role in alleviating the symptoms associated rheumatoid arthritis.
