Going vegetarian may help cut down the risk of developing chronic kidney disease.

‚ÄčThis research work studied the effect of vegetarian diets on the chronic kidney disease (CKD) risk. Researchers compared the incidence of chronic kidney disease among vegetarians and non-vegetarians. 

Researchers found high rates of chronic kidney disease in non-vegetarians compared to vegetarians. This study concluded that compliance with vegetarian diets may increase an individual's chances of avoiding chronic kidney disease.
