Going vegetarian may help cut down the risk of developing chronic kidney disease.

​This research work studied the effect of vegetarian diets on the chronic kidney disease (CKD) risk. Researchers compared the incidence of chronic kidney disease among vegetarians and non-vegetarians. 

Researchers found high rates of chronic kidney disease in non-vegetarians compared to vegetarians. This study concluded that compliance with vegetarian diets may increase an individual's chances of avoiding chronic kidney disease.
