Dietary intakes of green leafy vegetables and incidence of cardiovascular diseases

Eating green leafy vegetables on a regular basis may make an individual less likely to develop cardiovascular disease.

This study was carried out to assess the protective effect of green leafy vegetables against cardiovascular disease. Data from a total of 17 studies were analyzed for this study. 

Researchers observed a downward trend in the incidence of cardiovascular disease among consistent consumers of green leafy vegetables. This study further emphasizes the vital role frequent intake of green leafy vegetables play in thwarting the development cardiovascular disease.
