Consistent consumption of cruciferous vegetables may slow down the progression of prostate cancer into the lethal form of the disease.

‚ÄčThis study assessed how high dietary ingestion of fruits and vegetables affect the progression of prostate cancer. Researchers examined the diets of 1,560 men diagnosed with non-metastatic prostate cancer. 

Researchers noted that habitual consumption of cruciferous vegetables decreased the rate of progression of prostate cancer by 59%. This study provides evidence that diets high in cruciferous vegetables may retard the progression of prostate cancer into the lethal form of the disease.
