Consumption of fruit and vegetables reduces risk of pancreatic cancer: evidence from epidemiological studies.

Low pancreatic cancer risk is associated with frequent consumers of fruits and vegetables.

​This study evaluated the association between fruit and vegetable intake and pancreatic cancer risk by meta-analysis. A total of 24 studies were included in this meta-analysis. Researchers observed a protective association between regular consumption of fruits and vegetables and pancreatic cancer development risk. The findings of this meta-analysis reveal that habitual intake of fruits and vegetables may reduce the likelihood of developing pancreatic cancer.
